Diving in Lake George, New York

Explore the underwater world – from historic shipwrecks and pristine reefs to the mysteries of your local quarry. Diving can be a fun and rewarding sport if you are properly trained to use your equipment, know what to expect during a dive, and trained to deal with unforeseen emergencies if they should come up.

Whether you are looking to be a recreational diver, or are interested in Advanced and Specialty courses, you need to learn the basic diving skills. You may even eventually want to become a dive professional.

As an instructor, my job is to make sure you are comfortable and safe with scuba diving. During a scuba dive, nitrogen from your breathing air dissolves into body tissues due to the increased pressure. The deeper you dive, the faster nitrogen dissolves into your body. It’s important to keep this dissolved nitrogen with accepted limits to minimize the risk of decompression sickness.

We will learn about all the equipment needed for scuba and how to put it all together. I want you to have full knowledge of the sport while still having a good time. I have been told I am a very patient instructor…if you are struggling with a particular skill, either I, or one of my Dive Masters, will work one-on-one with you until you can master it.
