If you can swim, enjoy life and are at least 14 years old, you are just one step away from enjoying an underwater paradise. The PADI Resort Course lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a PADI Instructor in a pool or pool like conditions. During your adventure, you’ll master some basic concepts and scuba skills and might even head off on an open water adventure in Lake George. 

Going on a Resort Course dive is a great way to find out if you like Scuba and for most people it opens their eyes to amazing underwater world.  It is easy to do and only requires the ability to swim and of course, passing the medical exam.  You will need to fill out a medical form.  If there are any concerns about your medical condition, you will need to provide a note from your doctor in order to go for a dive.

  • What do I need to start?
    1.  Minimum age: 14
    2.  A completed medical statement with your signature
    3. Your own mask, fins and snorkel (rentals can be arranged). The rest of the equipment for the course will be supplied.
    4. A sense of adventure

  • What will I do?
    The course consists of a short video, a lecture, a true/false quiz and off you go to the swimming pool to practice a few skills. You and the instructor will work for a few minutes on your equipment so you are comfortable. Before you know it, you are breathing underwater.  Once you have mastered a few skills, you can be off on the optional boat dive exploring underwater sites around the lake. The dive lasts about 30 minutes depending on your breathing rate.

  • How long will it take?
    Get ready to dive today. You will watch the short PADI Discover Scuba video, attend the dive briefing, and then into the water to begin your scuba adventure. All in one afternoon! 

  • How large are the classes?
    The Dive Briefing and the introduction to the Basic Skills are conducted in small groups in confined water. For the dive, there will be no more than two students per instructor.

  • Cost:  The cost of this course if $175.00 per person for the pool session. 
    There is an optional boat dive on Lake George for an additional $75.00.
